    The IT Audit Senior Consultant is responsible for the execution of field work on client engagements. Working both on-site and at the practice office, the IT Audit Senior Consultant will collect data, test audit evidence and processes, and document the associated procedures according to IT Audit guidance. This role interacts frequently with client contacts and requires attention to detail and project deadlines. He/she works closely with Managers and Directors to keep projects focused and on schedule.



    • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
    • Assist in the design, testing, reporting, and completion of a comprehensive risk-based IT audit plan, including IT SOX testing.
    • Continuous supervision, training, and mentoring of associates on audit techniques and guidance.
    • Manage assignments on multiple audits and projects simultaneously and report status on progress tracking towards deadlines.
    • Proficient in current auditing tools and a strong understanding of IT audit techniques for applications, databases, servers, and network infrastructure.
    • Knowledgeable on current IT Frameworks such as COBIT5 or NIST, and COSO for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
    • Apply current knowledge of IT frameworks, trends, and system processes to identify security and risk management issues as well as opportunities for improvement.
    • Gain comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives and utilize that knowledge on engagements.
    • Coordinate with client Management and process owners to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
    • Communicate effectively with co-workers and clients at all levels of the organization and facilitate strong working/client relationships.
    • Ability to perform walkthroughs and tests of design over Information Technology General Controls (ITGC) within an organization and assist in the identification and testing of the controls designed to ensure that Management’s objectives are being met.
    • Perform testing, updating, and in some cases creating specific audit procedures for ITGC controls including those that support requirements regarding Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
    • Document and update test plans as part of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance engagements to assess operational effectiveness of ITGC and application controls (ITAC).
    • Evaluate processes to determine adequacy of controls, identify changes to processes when they occur, and determine if those changes effect the existence or effectiveness of the controls.
    • Proficient and well versed in exception reporting, documenting processes, and assisting in report writing.
    • Assist with periodic IT Risk Assessments on current and new clients.
    • Maintain an entrepreneurial attitude, willingness to learn, and develop the leadership skills necessary to progress to Management.
    • Perform other job duties as assigned by Management.


    • Two to five years of experience working in internal audit, public accounting, or in industry in a large or mid-sized company (Sarbanes-Oxley experience a plus and other comparable business experience will be taken into consideration).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, assuring quality, and exceeding client expectations.
    • Ability to supervise staff and lead projects.



    • A Bachelor/ Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
    • Obtained or passed the test in a related professional certification (CIA, CISA, Accounting Designations, etc.).


    Technical Skills & Proficiency:

    • Ability to audit financial, operational, technology processes and controls to assist with SOX/HIPAA compliance.
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, PDF Editors.


    Travel: Regional and international travel required, as needed, up to 30%
