    The Controller is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Competent and timely completion of the month end close and global consolidations process, including the completion and review of detailed account reconciliations;
    • Produce timely and complete consolidated financial statements, key company metrics and other reports to internal and external users, including the monthly budget to actual variance analysis;
    • Work closely with the CFO to support the preparation of the quarterly Board package;
    • Oversee the accounting operations including cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, financial reporting, and payroll;
    • Identify areas of improvements with a focus on operational excellence and strong internal controls that mitigate risk;
    • Ensure the timely completion of the annual audit and coordinate the preparation of the annual federal and state income tax returns
    • Participate in the development of the corporation’s plans and programs as a strategic partner
    • Ensure financial records & systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
    • Establish and implement short and long range departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures.
    • Create and implement processes to validate operational data and ensuring data integrity and accuracy

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities: Accounting Team

    Qualifications

    Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree (Required)or;
    • A minimum of ten (10) years related experience in financial management or public accounting.
    • Public accounting experience is a must.
    • Related experience should include performing consolidations, preparation of monthly financial packages, external debt compliance reporting, preparation of quarterly filings, and coordinating quarterly and annual procedures with external auditors.
    • Prior professional services firm experience is preferred.

     Education/Certification:

    • This position requires at a minimum a bachelor’s degree in Accounting
    • CPA certification preferred

     

    Technical Requirements:

    • Experience with Salesforce (CRM), Open-Air (PSA), Intacct (ERP) is a plus but not required.
