    The Product Marketing Specialist will support the launch of new products and services across Focal Point, working closely with the Marketing, Product Management, and Sales teams. In this role, you will develop product messaging, build buyer personas, communicate new products to the Sales team, assist in the management of new product launches, and contribute relevant product content. You will help track the results of new product launches and seek ways to improve upon the go-to-market process. The ideal candidate will be flexible and open to contributing to other areas of Marketing as needed. The position will be based in Focal Point’s Tampa headquarters.

    Responsibilities

    Core Responsibilities

    • Develop product messaging that differentiates Focal Point’s services from others in the market.
    • Produce training materials for Sales team introducing new products and services.
    • Define and build buyer personas.
    • With Product Management team, assist in data collection and research exercises to gauge customer sentiments and gather product feedback (including win/loss analyses).
    • Develop go-to-market plans, timelines, and budgets for new products and services.
    • Work with cross-functional teams in Product Management, Marketing and Sales to ensure the alignment and flawless execution of go-to-marketing strategies.
    • Assist with new product launches, including interfacing with PR teams.
    • Partner with Content Marketing team to create content in support of campaigns, including blog posts, case studies, and website copy.
    • Produce customer-facing marketing collateral to support go-to-market strategy.
    • Track results of product/service rollouts and report to management.

     

     

    Ancillary Responsibilities

    • Establish criteria for lead qualification, as it pertains to select products and services.
    • Assist in the development of collateral for existing offerings (slicks, website copy, presentations, etc.).
    • Assist in development of internal communications.
    • Provide frequent status updates, attend regular meetings, and interact professionally with practice leaders and company executives.

    Qualifications

    Experience

    • 3-5 years of professional marketing experience required (B2B preferred, technology-focused preferred).
    • Experience in B2B product/service messaging or campaign development.
    • Familiarity with the cyber security industry preferred.
    • Must submit writing samples during application process.

    Knowledge | Skills | Abilities:

    • Demonstrated ability to write with clarity and consistency.
    • Ability to write with minimal need for grammar, spelling, or consistency rework.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multi-functional teams.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.
    • Experience with HubSpot or similar marketing automation tool preferred.
    • Comfortable working independently and managing competing and aggressive deadlines.
    • Accountable and proactive, with high attention to detail.

     

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, English, or business administration, or equivalent experience.
